(no subject)

I'm on my way to bed, finally, but I just wanted to make a GENERAL NOTE to anyone who ever mods a game.

Don't make your PB/taken list 100% graphics. Graphics are pretty, I like pictures, and if you're good at graphics, it's a draw, so YAY! But god damnit, some of us are still on dial up, and even if your game looks like it's the shiz, yo, if it takes half an hour for me to see what PBs and characters are in your game, I officially no longer give a shit.

WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE HICKS HERE?

Thank you, I'll be here all week.

AMEN.

My eternal solution: keeping text and graphicy cast pages. One for functionality and new applicants who need a quick sum-up! Another for eyecandy alone! :D

POOR HICKY ALIZ.

Though, after spending a week in florida stealing internet from a neighboring beach house and getting only a weak signal unless i like, did handstands on the roof with the laptop, I am more inclined to sympathize. XD

I'LL THINK OF YOU, HICKS!

Also, WORD. Having both is AWESOME because then I can use see and/or search the text, and then I can also admire the graphics (the Nacht page always makes me happy, particularly once I get to Moody's) and/or spy on a game's PBs to get PB ideas of my own.

I also love it (and Nacht does this) when the graphics have the PB name in the title tag, because a lot of people just use an alt tag, but the alt tags don't pop up when I mouseover in Firefox, and I'm too lazy to keep doing the right-click-properties thingy.

Man, I hope that last paragraph was coherent.

That story both makes me laugh and feel sad for you. XD
My friend Greg lives off the same road as me (well, it's a major highway), but he lives so far down it (like 20-30 minutes) that it starts getting to where he has more cow-neighbors than people-neighbors, and he still has AOL dialup, which, of course, it the worst kind. I think it's sad, because they stop offering cable a few houses down from them, but they told his family if they wanted cable, they'd have to pay themselves to have it installed further down, which was gonna be super expensive.

Poor technologically lacking hick friends )=.
