So, it never snows here. Never. Our elevation is like 300, and snow hardly ever gets down this low around here. And when it does, it's just a bit of slush and it never sticks or melts by 9:00. But this afternoon, it started to snow about the time my sister and I went in to town, and by the time we got back, there were like four inches of snow on my Jetta, and you could barely get up the hill to our house without 4-wheel drive, and people were already getting in the ditches in the gulch. Basically, NO ONE IN FUCKING HUMBOLDT COUNTY KNOWS WHAT THIS WHITE STUFF FALLING FROM THE SKY IS BECAUSE IT'S NOT COKE AND SO THEY ALL FLAIL AROUND USELESSLY AND CRASH THEIR CARS.
Then the power went out for like seven fucking hours. Which was fun. It's not snowing at the moment, but it seems like it'll either be gone by the morning, or it'll be iced over, so I really don't know if I'm going to be able to get into class tomorrow. Though, if I can't, my Astronomy teacher sure as hell can't, because he's my dad's neighbor, and he lives like five minutes away.
Eh. Whatever. At least I have power now. |
